Your Benefits at Schwartz Farms
Paid Vacation
Full-time employees are eligible for paid vacation after just two months of employment. Vacation hours are accrued based on years of service, rewarding your continued dedication.
Paid Holidays
We recognize the importance of time with family and rest. Paid holidays include:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If you work on a holiday, you’ll receive holiday pay plus compensation for hours worked.
Sick Leave
We understand that life happens. Full-time employees are eligible for paid sick leave after two months of employment. Unused sick time is compensated.
Bereavement Leave
Full-time employees are also eligible for paid bereavement leave after six months of employment.
Health & Financial Well-Being
Medical Insurance
Health comes first. Full-time employees become eligible for medical insurance on the first day of the month following two months of employment. Schwartz Farms covers a significant portion of both individual and family coverage.
Section 125 (Pre-Tax Savings) Plan
Our Section 125 Plan allows employees to pay for medical and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars:
- Up to $2,500 for medical expenses
- Up to $5,000 for dependent care
Eligibility begins on the first day of the month after two months of employment.
Dental Insurance
Take care of your smile! Full-time team members are eligible to enroll in voluntary dental coverage starting the first day of the month following two months of employment. This plan is optional and employee-paid.
Vision Insurance
Keep your vision sharp! Full-time team members can sign up for voluntary vision coverage beginning the first day of the month following two months of employment. This benefit is also paid by the employee.
401(k) Retirement Plan
Planning for the future matters. Schwartz Farms matches up to 4% of your 401(k) contributions. Employees may enroll starting the first day of the quarter after six months of employment.
Long-Term Disability
After three months of full-time employment, you’re automatically enrolled in long-term disability coverage—100% paid by Schwartz Farms.
Voluntary Life & Short-Term Disability
Employees are eligible for optional life and short-term disability insurance on the first day of the month following two months of employment. These premiums are employee-paid.
