Full time employees are eligible for paid vacation after six months of employment. Hours are accrued based on years of service.
Paid holidays include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas. In the event you work a holiday, you will be compensated for the holiday plus hours worked.
Full time employees are eligible for paid sick leave after six months of employment. You will be compensated for unused sick time.
Full time employees are eligible for bereavement leave after six months of employment.
Full time employees are eligible for medical insurance the first day of the month after two months of employment. Schwartz Farms pays for a significant portion of employee and family coverage.
Section 125 Plan
Participation in a Section 125 Plan enables employees to pay for medical and daycare expenses on a pretax basis. Employees may contribute up to $2,500 for medical expenses and $5,000 for daycare expenses. Eligibility is the first day of the month after two months of employment.
Schwartz Farms, Inc. matches up to 4% of employee contributions to the individual’s 401k plan. Employees may begin participating in the 401k program the first day of the quarter after six months of employment.
Long Term Disability
Full time employees receive long-term disability after one year of full-time employment. Premiums are 100% paid by Schwartz Farms, Inc.
Voluntary Life & Short Term Disability
Full time employees are eligible for voluntary life and short term disability the first day of the month following two months of employment. Premiums are 100% paid by the employee.
